For this Curtain Raiser, we turn the spotlight on the secrets of the Urban Opera ‘The Guardian of the Temple, the Gate of Darkness’. On 8 February, the Halle de La Machine reopens its doors with a new set design, highlighting the work of the builders behind the scenes. Artistic direction, effects machines, show costumes, manipulation, models, theatrical design, music… one thing is certain, when it comes to making shows, the devil is in the detail!
